Round Four Update: City Girl Goes To Forest

One of the major assignments was finally done
and I got the chance to visit Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary yay!

The entry wasn't too big or fancy but don't get deceived by its appearance!
It was waaaaayy bigger inside.
(For your information, this was one of the places
where Running Man had their mission when they came to Australia)

After passing the ticket selling counter, we could see many koalas on little branches.
I think all of the koalas were sleeping during that time.
Doesn't it look adorable??

There were a couple of free shows available for visitors.
Air Asia Free Flight Bird Show was one of the shows.

Got to see birds using tools like human to get what they want.

Australiana Sheep Shearing & Snake Photo Opportunity.

Crocodile Behaviours Show & Crocodile Photo Opportunity.

Heard a kid from an excursion mentioned that the crocodile was "squishy"
until I got to hold them... I knew what he meant. Look how awkward I smiled! haha

Got to feed kangaroo.
And yea that was my true expression which I only realised
after viewing the photos at the end of the day.

Nom nom nom.
The kangaroos normally got the food from my hand by using their tongues.
I could feel their teeth sometimes if they were too eager to eat or did not control their tongues well.
Not too painful for me yet. Just felt like human babies biting you without any teeth.

Kind of getting "addicted" after feeding a couple more kangaroos.
They were soooo cute!

Until I imitated them..

The biggest-in-size kangaroo.

Many kangaroos were actually laying on the ground like nobody was looking at them.
Enjoying the sunbathing and life huh?

Able to see active koalas after lunch time.
It wasn't easy to see them being active as koalas spend most of their day sleeping!

One of my favourite photos - "Hey bro, do you need help?"

After all, among all the animals I met, I love kangaroos as I got to interact with them the most.
It was a lovely day at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
Although I have no idea when my next visit will be,
I would love to bring my family here if they do come to visit me in the future.

Love xoxo.

Round three update: I miss my family

Aka homesick.

Thinking of my family recently.

I don't always miss someone but when I do,
something happens or I'm a bit stress of my studies.

I  don't get stressed easily,
but I might be stressed when I say stress.

Not really stressed yet.
Just found out that I've to complete a couple of assignments and I still have a mid-sem exam.
One week holiday oh why.

I think I need a vacation, to a country that I've never been to,
to experience something new, to eat something nice, to see something interesting.

Appreciate for my friends at any stages of life.
They contributed and brought colour to my life, more or less.
Whether they are in my photos or album,
they are here, in my heart.

Appreciate the opportunity to write and share my life on blog.
Letting whom I love to know where I am up to.
Getting responses, interactions.
That heart warming moment when I got message
from a long-lost-friend who approached me after reading my blog.
I love seeing people getting help from me even through a small, unintentional sharing!
Perhaps that's one of the reasons why I'm studying psychology and why I love blogging.

Love calling someone randomly to ask or say something.
(perhaps, just want to hear their voices).

Still thinking if I should go back to Malaysia this July.
Fly or not fly? I wish for a safe trip.

May God be with my family, friends, and those who read my blog.
Stay strong, stay healthy.
Love y'all.

Round Two Update: Growing from a girl to a lady

Yes, make up!
Inspired by housemate last year when she asked me if I do make up. I said I don't.
She told me that ladies should at least know how to make up, at least for occasions like presentation.
Time passed. Until I thought I should start to learn how to make up.

My basic make up items:
Sunscreen from Naruko that I got even before I start my make up journey.
Eyelashes curler from Guardian.
Eyeliner from Maybeline.
Mascara from Face It (The Face Shop).

Every girls should have that bestie who shares her freebie with you, isn't it?
Thanks sweetheart Cai Ling aka Charlene who gave me those babies to try on myself.

I haven't really start using them but I personally love this so much.
It's like a oval sponge that you immerse in water, squeeze it then use it to apply foundation or
those in liquid form to your face. Found it so useful as it even out my sunscreen so nicely than I just apply it with my fingers! Definitely found it useful.

Isn't it cute?

Question: What brands should I buy to get started?
Answers from my housemates and friend were pretty similar:
Go to pharmacy/drug store to get something cheaper to start off.

Yay for dress up!
"Dress up everyday because everyday is a special occasion."

Don't dress up to impress people. Dress up to impress yourself!
Love yourself. Dolling yourself. Pamper yourself.
Try the style that you've never tried. Try the accessory, the clothes that you've never worn.
Who knows it could be great on you?

Be inspired. Love, xoxo.

Round One Update in 2014

I'm back! Yes, not vanished from earth, yet.
I haven't been blogging recently as I have been sharing my life in some other places .
(We were encouraged to write what we thankful for each week in a private facebook page for our youth group so I thought okay, I will share about my life)

Finally pulled myself to blog tonight!

Speaking of coming back to Brissie, I went through a hard day.
I missed the flight by 10 days! LOL since my uncle booked a 16th Feb ticket for me instead of 26th.
I was so puzzled when they said I wasn't on the list on the airport I arrived at the airport.
I woke up around 4am that morning just to get the 6am+ flight!
If you followed me on Instagram, you might know my story.

Oh yea! My Instagram is still private and does not approve people that I do not know at the moment.
Thinking if I should approve them recently since I post photos on blog too and there shall be no reason to keep it private? What do you guys think? Any opinion? Hmm...
Private Instagram account @jacquelinefoong

I'm wondering if I got lazier this year becauseee I'm not motivated to spend a long time on cooking like last year anymore. Perhaps, I just found more things to do?

And yup, eating clean and nutritious have always been my eating style.
Eating something too oily or heavy could make me feel verrryyy uncomfortable!

Since I came back from Melbourne last year, I love smoothie even more - Trying out different combinations and sharing with housemates sometimes.
Sharing is caring! Smoothie anyone? ;)

Tried out new food at one of my favourite Korean restaurants, Maru@City.
Raw beef. I thought it would came with hotpot so I ordered it but apparently.. it wasn't.
Had a hard time eating it but it was okay.

This is realistic.

You gonna be experimenting, exploding, making mistakes, but after all,
you would get to know more, experience more and appreciate more ;)

Bought four baby cactus from a Uni stall on a wednesday.
As the sign stated "adopted a baby plant" and... I fell into it!
Marketing strategy!!!
Anyway, I would love to have some greens in my room and
my youth group in Malaysia do have a planting activity to learn the lesson of love so why not?
(getting excuses.. I meant yea I just want them :P)

Got myself a bedside table and 30% of it was assembled by me!
Hardcore female carpenter to be? haha

Isn't it cute? :)

Went to some places that I've never been to.

(Reuse the tuna tin by decorating it with tapes)

Continue doing something I like.

Trying to get healthier and stronger.

Continue loving the people around me.

Study well, eat well, slow and steady.
Update another post soon! God bless. Take care ♥
